Family Visit Update 9/6

By 6th September, 2021 OLA Announcements Comments Off

Dear OLA families and employees,

We have to review some very basic visit requirements at this time. Here are some friendly reminders.

Whether you have been vaccinated or not, if you have flu or cold type symptoms, please refrain from visiting. You must stop at the Front Desk and complete the entire questionnaire. Make sure to write your first and last name on the questionnaire. You will need to take your temperature and must sign the log book before and after your visit. This is mandatory.

Signs and symptoms include fever, unexplained fatigue, cough, runny nose, body aches. More serious signs are shortness of breath, loss of smell and taste. You must wear a mask the entire time you are in the building. If there is a sign stating the area is for residents only, visitors may not enter. If unvaccinated, you must maintain 6 feet away from others at all times. Adhering to the above rules not only keeps your family member safe and healthy but also protects the other residents and employees.

We appreciate your cooperation during these trying times.

Updated Covid Building Protocol 8/7

By 7th August, 2021 OLA Announcements Comments Off

Active as of 8/6, OLA indoor visiting is now open without needing to make a reservation. You still need to check in at the Front Desk, get temped and complete the Covid questionnaire. You will need to wear a face mask when you are in the facility. At this time, only residents are allowed in common resident areas like the chapel. We will have notes up in areas where only residents are allowed. Visits are restricted to resident rooms and family visit salons. Family members are limited to 2 in a resident room and 4 in the salons.

The OLA lobby is open until 8 pm every night. Our patio access doors are also open when the lobby is open. After 8 p.m. there is a doorbell that you can use to alert staff that you are here. Another reminder for visits – for the safety and privacy of our residents, Nurses’ stations and medication carts are considered restricted. Please use the call light in your resident’s room if you need to discuss clinical information with the nurse. They will come to you. We thank everybody for your cooperation in keeping our residents safe.
