OLA is now open for visitors. Our PPE guidance for the building requires an N95 Mask and goggles that we have available at the front desk. Thank you for your cooperation at this time in keeping our building safe.
Dear OLA Residents, staff, and family,
Yesterday’s routine staff COVID testing resulted in 1 staff member testing positive for COVID 19. Over the next 24 hours, staff and residents were all tested. Unfortunately, our first round of staff/resident testing has resulted in 2 additional positive results thus far. Both are staff members and both are fully vaccinated. All staff and residents will be routinely COVID tested over the next 14 days. All visitation to OLA at this time will be paused. Residents on A1B1 will be on quarantine at this time pending further testing. We will keep you updated as we receive further guidance. Please contact Admin/Nursing administration with questions and concerns.
Dear OLA families and employees,
We have to review some very basic visit requirements at this time. Here are some friendly reminders.
Whether you have been vaccinated or not, if you have flu or cold type symptoms, please refrain from visiting. You must stop at the Front Desk and complete the entire questionnaire. Make sure to write your first and last name on the questionnaire. You will need to take your temperature and must sign the log book before and after your visit. This is mandatory.
Signs and symptoms include fever, unexplained fatigue, cough, runny nose, body aches. More serious signs are shortness of breath, loss of smell and taste. You must wear a mask the entire time you are in the building. If there is a sign stating the area is for residents only, visitors may not enter. If unvaccinated, you must maintain 6 feet away from others at all times. Adhering to the above rules not only keeps your family member safe and healthy but also protects the other residents and employees.
We appreciate your cooperation during these trying times.
Dear OLA Community,
We wanted to take this opportunity to update you on some changes occurring at OLA effective Monday June 14, 2021.
Starting on Monday June 14, 2021, we will increase our number of allowed visitors in our scheduled outdoor and private visiting areas to 5. This can include children of all ages. Please note, all visitors age 2 and above will be required to wear a mask at all times. Pets are still prohibited at OLA. Visits in our A1 Auditorium will remain at 2 per resident to maintain proper social distancing.
Our 24-hour prescreening process will also conclude at this time. We ask that your family and friends continue to schedule visits and outings through Tiffany in an Activities so we can maintain all necessary information should contact tracing need to occur. Tiffany can be reached at 815-553-0449. Compassionate visits will continue to be scheduled through our DON at 815-553-4128. These visits will continue to be limited to 2 visitors per person in the room. We will continue to accommodate larger families by allowing guests to wait outside and rotate through the family in groups of 2.
Overnight visits continue to be allowed, but if the resident is not vaccinated, self-isolation for 14 days upon return is required. Screening/Questioners and temperature checks will continue when entering OLA. Masks are required at ALL times while visiting OLA. This includes indoor and outdoor visitation. The facility staff will not release residents to anyone who approaches the facility without a mask on regardless of vaccination status. This is for the safety of our entire community, and we ask that everyone take this to heart.
Thank you.
Dear OLA staff, residents and families,
We have received the results of our most recent Covid testing and have to report that one employee has tested positive. With guidance given by IDPH and Will County, this one isolated case was not deemed as an exposure risk to the facility. This being said, OLA would love to announce the re-introduction of our beauty shop and scheduled visits. Visits will be offered both indoor and outdoor, weather permitting. To schedule a salon appointment or a visit, please contact Tiffany at 815-553-0449. Details to be provided upon scheduling. Thank you!
Click here to view OLA’s visitation agreement guidelines (page 2). Visitors will receive a copy of this agreement form to review and sign when visiting loved ones or friends. If you have questions, please contact us at 815-725-6631.
Dear OLA residents, staff and families,
We are very excited to announce that this coming week we will be reintroducing indoor visits! While following both IDPH and Will County regulations, visits will be pre-scheduled, require appropriate PPE and involve a screening process. When scheduling please understand that there will be a limit of 2 visitors. At this time pets and nobody under 18 will be allowed. Please be patient with us as we begin this process and understand that your loved one’s safety is our priority. Beginning Monday, contact Activities at 815-553-0449 to schedule your visit.
